Lead is a naturally occurring toxic metal found in the Earth’s crust. Its widespread use has resulted in extensive environmental contamination,  human exposure and significant public health problems in many parts of the world. Lead can enter drinking water when service pipes that contain lead corrode,especially where the water has high acidity or low mineral content that corrodes pipes and fixtures.  Lead in drinking water is very harmful to human. In China, the government set 0.01mg/L as the minimum level of content for lead in drinking water.
